Verena Siow named new SAP Regional President, Asia Pacific

Based in Singapore, she will focus on driving customer success, accelerating business transformation, and helping organisations across Asia Pacific realise the full value of their SAP solutions.

With almost three decades of technology sector experience, Siow has served in multiple capacities during her fifteen-year tenure at SAP, most recently as the Business Suite Leader APAC, driving cloud growth and the end-to-end customer value journey. Prior to that, she was SAP’s Southeast Asia President and Managing Director. 

Fortinet appoints Luca Simonelli as Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific 

Based in Singapore, he will lead Fortinet's Asia Pacific sales organisation, overseeing the company's businesses across Japan, North Asia and South Asia (Southeast Asia, India & SAARC, Australia and New Zealand). He will be responsible for further driving regional strategy, strengthening customer and partner relationships, and accelerating Fortinet's continued growth across the region.

Simonelli brings more than 30 years of international technology leadership experience spanning cybersecurity, networking, SASE, cloud security, and managed services. Most recently, he served in a senior leadership role at GCX Managed Services. 

Zoom appoints Carlos Quaderi as head of APAC

Effective August 1 and reporting directly to Graeme Geddes, Zoom’s Chief Sales and Growth Officer, Quaderi will lead Zoom's go-to-market strategy across APAC: Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), Asia, India and Korea, excluding Japan.

Quaderi previously served as Zoom's Head of Asia where he drove regional strategy, sales execution and go-to-market initiatives for Southeast Asia, Hong Kong SAR and Taiwan. He will now oversee the broader APAC region, working closely with regional teams and global leadership to advance the company’s strategic priorities, with a focus on the customer experience (CX) business, small and medium-sized business (SMB) segment, and channel expansion.

A seasoned industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, he previously held senior leadership roles at Workday, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft, where he led go-to-market strategy and enterprise growth across Asia Pacific and Japan. Quaderi will remain based in Singapore, and will continue overseeing Zoom's Asia business through the transition.

Robyn Woodley takes on new challenge at Kyndryl

She joins as the leader of Kyndryl Consult and Practices across Australia and New Zealand. She was previously at EY for over 14 years, with her final role being managing partner of the Asia Pacific managed services markets.

Jacki McKinnon promoted at Westpac

She is now head of the company's data and AI practice, having previously served as executive manager, data and analytics transformation and executive manager, data strategy and transformation. Prior to this, she was the strategy and tansformation lead at Woolworths Group 

Ericsson's John Haig relocates to Texas

Having served as customer security director since 2019 in Melbourne, he has now moved state-side to lead Ericsson's cybersecurity and investigations function across the Americas, with responsibility for cybersecurity incident response, digital investigations, and the continuous enhancement of the company's security posture throughout the US, Canada, and Latin America.

Bev Carroll named CRO at CoreBiz

She was previously at NCS Group Australia as senior account executive for Microsoft Solutions and prior to that, at Dialog Information Technology as the national sales and marketing manager for the company's Dynamics ERP practice. She has also previously served as the GM for Australasia and Africa at InfoPOS Software.

Amir Bansal hired as AVP of strategic sales at Cognizant

He joins after close to four years as strategic sales lead at Accenture Australia. Prior to this, he was practice head of Cognitive Automation for ANZ at IBM and sales director at Infosys.

Jesus Jimenez takes on new role

He takes over as senior director of customer experience for Asia Pacific and Japan at GitLab after having spent the last 10 months as leader AMS, Applied AI Solutions APAC at AWS. He has also previously served as director of the customer success group for APAC at PagerDuty and the director of the enterprise collaboration group for APJC at Webex.

Pax8's Aidan Clifford joins inforcer 

He takes over as head of business development for ANZIn his four years at Pax8, he held such roles as manager of Microsoft Alliances APAC; Microsoft Business manager team lead; Microsoft Modern Workplace and Security business manager; and senior channel account manager.

Will Graham becomes DataMasque's sales director for ANZ

Based in NZ, Graham was previously GM of enterprise sales at One New Zealand. He has also held such roles as director of sales and marketing at Devoli, an NZ full-service carrier and telecommunications infrastructure wholesaler, as well as director of technology consulting at PwC New Zealand.

Simon Dawson appointed head of delivery at Mazing

His previous roles include delivery manager at Wesfarmers Health and implementation manager at Scope. He was also at nbn Australia for over six years, holding such positions as delivery manager, implementation manager, IT service manager and project manager.

Scott Parry promoted to COO at Commuserv

He joined the Adelaide-based IT partner over four years ago in the role of business development manager. Prior to this, he was at Telstra for five years, primarily as a business manager.

Meg Santos moves on from Fujitsu

Since September, she served as executive director of the Fujitsu ServiceNow Practice for Oceania. Prior to this, she was at Enable, a Fujitsu company, for over six years, holding such roles as head of Fujitsu ServiceNow for APAC and APAC director of operations.

Ankita Moses promoted at TPG Telecom

She takes over as GM of strategy product and wholesale after serving as head of mobile wholesale since joining in March of last year. Prior to this, she was at nbn Australia for 12 years, holding such positions as executive manager, segment strategy and growth; executive manager, strategic partnerships; and executive manager, commercial and deals.

Thanh Nguyen to tackle new role at IBM

He is now an IBM Technology Leader working with the Australian Federal Government to transform citizen services across Services Australia, Health, the DTA, and broader citizen services. He joined in 2022 and has since served in roles including account technical leader, senior architect and associate partner of data and transformation.

Emma Clark is Versent's new head of marketing

She joins after over seven years at Brennan, where she worked her way up to the senior marketing manager in September of 2023. Prior to this, she was at Canon Australia for over three years.

Kate Wellard departs as Nintex marketing director

She joined just over a year ago, having previously served as head of marketing of Telstra Enterprise. She has also been the CMO at Versent, the APJ growth, marketing and BD director at LivePerson and and the marketing director at IAG.

Anna Christensen swaps Cloudian for Honeywell

She takes over as channel manager for NSW and ACT after four years at Cloudian, where she held such roles as head of channel, MSP business and alliances for Asia Pacific and Japan and head of marketing for APJ. She has also served as head of channel marketing for APAC at NEXTGEN Group and marketing manager (APAC) for UC at Exclusive Networks.

Ali Karnoub wraps up NetApp chapter

For the last five years, he has served as manager of customer success for APAC. He joined following a seven year stint at Telstra, where he held such roles as manager of enterprise service delivery and service delivery manager for business and enterprise.

Matt McManus hired as solutions architect at Vanta

For the last 18 months at SafetyCulture, he lead technical architecture for enterprise integrations across ANZ. Prior to this, he had an 18-year stint at Apple, holding such positions as senior solutions architect for ANZ Enterprise and senior partner engineer for ANZ Enterprise.

Jamie Ellis becomes CSOC manager at Australian Public Service

He joins after nearly 18 months as cyber security operations manager at Digital61. Prior to this, he was at AUCyber for four years, holding such roles as security operations centre manager and cyber security consultant.

Krishna Mandalika takes on new role

He is now a strategic growth and solutions lead for APAC at Tata Consultancy Services. He was previously senior director of consulting services at Oracle, and prior to that, partner - growth and sales leader at DataAIT Technologies.

Wojtek Malewski lands at Palo Alto Networks

He is tasked with leading the solutions consulting team, having previously served at NetApp for over seven years, with his final role being director of solutions engineering for ANZ. He has also worked as the national practice manager for emerging solutions at NEC Australia and at  Hewlett-Packard at the CTO of HP Networking for the South Pacific region.

William Li calls time on Telstra

His final role at the company was senior global sales specialist for Telstra International; in his 17 years at the company, he also held such roles as BDM/agile scrum lead, business development associate, client executive and mobility lead for the mid-market.

Asjad Athick named AI deployment strategist at Mistral

He joins after two years as solution engineering manager, SOC transformation and AI at CrowdStrike. Prior to this, he was at Elastic for over five years, holding such roles as senior manager for security solution architecture and principal security lead for solutions architecture.

Kate Basten adds new contract role

After taking on the contract position of business manager for Australia at Insicon Cyber in May, she is now also the channel strategy lead for IT Architecture as a Service. Prior to this, she had served in such roles as business manager, GTM A/NZ at Arista Networks and manager - commercial GTM and distribution for A/NZ at Palo Alto Networks.

Jenna Lucas joins Nitro Software

She takes over as senior channel account manager for APAC after having served as BDM for NetApp Victoria and ACT at Dicker Data for the last year. Prior to this, she was at NetApp for three years, holding such roles as distribution manager for Dicker Data, partner development manager for Victoria, partner marketing manager for ANZ and partner manager for fed gov.

James Sigre steps away from Palo Alto

He has spent the last five years as regional sales manager, having served as territory sales manager for two years prior. Before this, he was a channel partner manager at Vocus, a portfolio manager at ADVAM and a state sales manager for SA and WA at Vodafone Australia.

Adrian Beckett appointed enterprise account executive at Vocus

He joins after nine years at Stardata, where he was the technology solution sales manager. Prior to this, he was at Telstra for 12 years, his final role being technology solution specialist.

Tim Clarkson becomes government lead of BDM team at PB Tech

Based in Wellington, he was previously at Spark New Zealand for over seven years, holding such roles as chapter lead of the business development team and enterprise business development manager. He's also served as a senior account executive at Telstra.

Paul Aitken opts for retirement

He closed out his career with a nearly 20-year stint at Data#3, where he held such roles as  national sales excellence specialist, VIC sales manager and account executive.
