Guardz, which describes itself as an agentic workspace security provider for MSPs, has appointed Dani Munro as its head of APAC.
She joins after previously serving as Pax8's VP of sales for ANZ.
As director of channel for APAC, Munro's focus will be on growing Guardz's MSP partner base across ANZ and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
This involves working closely with the company's distribution partner Pax8 and its technology partners of SentinelOne and Check Point, as well as engaging directly with the MSP community through events, education and thought leadership to drive awareness and adoption.
Munro said what attracted her to Guardz was the problem Guardz is solving and the community they are solving it for.
"During my time at Pax8, I watched MSPs navigate an increasingly fragmented, expensive, and complex security stack while threats accelerated. MSPs were juggling multiple tools and drowning in alerts, without the confidence that their SMB clients were fully covered," she told techpartner.news.
"Guardz is genuinely built for the MSP from the ground up. It consolidates identity, endpoint, email, cloud, and data protection into a single AI-native platform, backed by 24/7 human-led detection and response. It was purpose-built so that an MSP does not need added investment time amd costs of a Level 3 security engineer to operate it, thus reducing time and effiecentcy within the MSP."
Munro said she also has a personal connection to this mission, having owned a small brunch spot in Brisbane with her husband before embarking on her technology career.
"Cybersecurity was the last thing on our minds until we were hacked," she explained.
"That experience never left me, and it drives my belief that SMBs deserve the same quality of protection as enterprises. That is exactly what Guardz delivers."
She stated that her priorities for the next six to 12 months include building visibility in the ANZ MSP ecosystem by attending industry events, hosting workshops and roadshows, and investing in peer conversations.
"Providing practical guidance for MSPs on how to package, price, and communicate security services to their SMB clients through targeted events and resources, [as well as] scaling our channel presence [are also priorities]," she told techpartner.news.
"Guardz already has over 800 customers across APAC, and the infrastructure is ready to expand that meaningfully."
