Australian IT distributor Bluechip Infotech has entered the final stage of acquiring a majority share of Goodson Imports, an Australian distributor of retail point-of-sale systems, data capture, mobility, and kiosk/OEM technology.
The company says this will significantly strengthen Bluechip’s presence in the retail technology sector by combining Goodson’s specialised expertise with Bluechip’s broad technology portfolio and national distribution network.
Upon completion, Goodson Imports will continue to operate independently as “Goodson – A Bluechip Company,” maintaining its brand, leadership team, and customer-focused operations.
Business will also remain as usual for Goodson’s customers and partners.
As part of Bluechip, Goodson will gain access to an expanded suite of technologies, including mobility solutions; networking and infrastructure; video surveillance and collaboration; IoT and edge computing; access control systems; and power and energy management solutions.
“We are thrilled to be in the final stages of bringing Goodson into the Bluechip family,” said Johnson Hsiung, MD of Bluechip Infotech.
“This partnership will enable us to deliver a more comprehensive range of solutions to our channel partners, especially in the fast-evolving retail and OEM sectors.”
“ Partnering with Bluechip allows us to scale while preserving the brand, team, and values our customers trust,” said Susan Pace, MD of Goodson Imports.
“We look forward to driving new opportunities with the strength of Bluechip behind us.”
Already in 2025, Bluechip Infotech has entered into a distribution agreement with cybersecurity platform Coro; partnered with email security specialist Sendmarc to add advanced DMARC capabilities to its cybersecurity portfolio; and added identity and access management solutions provider miniOrange for the Australian market.
