Fabric workshops help partners tap into data services demand growth.

Delivering AI projects for customers has traditionally required MSPs to deploy and run multiple tools, adding cost and complexity to the process.

However, by leveraging support and services from a proven global partner to build capability in Microsoft Fabric, MSPs can help customers accelerate time to value for AI projects and realise the full potential of this fast-maturing technology.

AI on the rise in the SMB community

Crayon (a SoftwareOne company) commissions a biennial study of SMBs across the region through Forrester. According to the most recent Future of Operations APAC 2025 study,, 61% of SMB decision-makers plan to implement or expand AI within their organisation in the next 24 months. The study also shows those SMBs that have embraced AI are 20% more likely to have seen at least 15% revenue growth over the past two years.

This is driving demand for data platforms, yet many SMBs continue to struggle with the data infrastructure and process integrations needed for AI, and they are looking to their partners to help.

“Many partners already deliver strong data and cloud services, but the speed of AI adoption means customers now expect deeper integration across analytics, governance, and automation. Microsoft Fabric creates an opportunity for partners to scale those capabilities rapidly,” explains Mathew Howard, General Manager Channel, Australia and New Zealand at SoftwareOne. “Our workshops are designed to accelerate that journey, enabling partners to capture more of the opportunity.”

Addressing foundational AI requirements

Through unifying analytics, governance and security across core Microsoft data products OneLake, Data Factory, PowerBI and Purview, Microsoft Fabric addresses foundational AI requirements such as data protection, continuity and governance, and drives value creation activities including analytics and insights.

To help MSPs and customers realise the value of AI, Crayon offers fully funded, complimentary Microsoft Fabric workshops for MSPs and their customers that cover:

  • Discovery of customers’ data landscape and challenges
A deep dive into Microsoft Fabric’s capabilities across OneLake, Data Factory, PowerBI and Purview
  • Microsoft Fabric’s governance, integration and automation options
  • A phased roadmap extending across proof of concept, production and AI delivery
  • A tailored proposal for the attending customers

“For partners, our workshops create repeatable motions they can take to market immediately — helping them drive new pipeline, strengthen their advisory role, and build long‑term data and AI capability at scale,” Howard adds.

An end-to-end Microsoft Fabric offering

Crayon’s Data & AI specialists will also cover the organisation’s end-to-end offering, from the first workshop to full production rollout, that enables MSPs to drive AI success for customers.

Its capabilities extend from discovery to funded deployment services that partners can leverage to move customers from proof of value into real production environments with confidence. This includes standing up governed workspaces, establishing semantic models, implementing OneLake structures, and supporting early AI driven‑ use cases.
