Abbas Kudrati has taken on the role of field CISO for Asia Pacific, China and Japan (ACPJ).
He joins after serving as the chief identity and AI security advisor for APAC at Silverfort for the last 18 months.
Prior to this, he also worked at Microsoft for over six years, holding such roles as field CISO for Asia, focused on the Small and Medium Customer segment; chief cybersecurity, risk and compliance advisor for ASEAN and chief cybersecurity advisor for APAC.
He has also held CISO roles for the likes of KPMG Australia and Public Transport Victoria.
In a LinkedIn post, Kudrati said as organisations race to adopt AI, modernise applications, and embrace increasingly distributed environments, security has become the critical enabler of innovation.
