Orro snags Anthony Woodward for strategy chief role

Woodward's career spans decades in the technology business, from co-founding Zip World, to Internet provider Bulletproof, and most recently, being the chief executive of managed service provider giant Logicalis Australia, a position that he left in January this year.

Canary IT appoints new chief executive

James Ormesher brings senior leadership experience from major technology firms, having most recently served as chief growth officer at Tesserent. Stephen  Parsonage, who built the business alongside Bill Henderson since 1999, transitions to a newly created executive director role.

Vocus finds new chief executive after eight month search

Andrés Irlando replaces Ellie Sweeney, who moved to NBN Co as its new chief executive in September 2024. Irlando's most recent role was president and chief operating officer at United States-based Zayo Group, a Tier 1 communications infrastructure company.

Fortinet names head of government affairs for ANZ

Nicole Henry will work closely with Fortinet’s regional public sector teams to provide insights into government priorities and cybersecurity requirements. Before joining Fortinet, she was responsible for the Trade, Americas, Europe, and India branch within the International Strategy and National Security Division of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.

Acronis names new ANZ general manager

Terry Christie brings more than 25 years of IT and cybersecurity experience to the role, having held senior positions at technology companies including Nitro, Aruba (HPE), Commvault, IBM, Lenovo, Samsung Electronics, and Ingram Micro. He replaces Kelly Johnson who left Acronis in April this year, moving to Pax8.

BeyondTrust appoints new ANZ regional sales director

Based in Canberra, Roshi Balendran brings 18 years of sales experience across the IT industry, with particular expertise in government markets. He previously served as director of ANZ public sector at NetApp, where he led the transformation and growth acceleration of their public sector business.

Messaging company Sinch appoints Angus Mansfield as APAC channel chief

Mansfield will join Sinch's APAC leadership team and oversee the company's indirect sales strategy, managing relationships with carriers, resellers, Application Service Providers (ASPs), System Integrators (SIs), and ecosystem partners. He previously led the partnerships team at Monday.com, overseeing business across 13 markets as part of the APAC leadership team.

Riverbed appoints new Asia-Pacific sales chief

Paul Crighton brings more than 25 years of technology sales experience to the role, most recently serving as managing director at cybersecurity firm Barracuda Networks. Prior to Barracuda, Crighton held senior sales positions at NetApp, where he served as managing director for Australia and New Zealand from 2018 to 2022.

Data#3 appoints Vince Troth as GM for WA

Troth has previously served as a regional director of Schneider Electric and a GM at both FUJIFILM Business Innovation Australia and Optus. For the last three years, he has been running his own company, covering business and sales consulting, CRM work, major deal coaching and contract negotiation.

DataSentinel appoints Peter Ward as strategic advisor

Ward will advise on market strategy, partner development and service innovation, working alongside DataSentinel's team of database administrators, consultants and analytics specialists. He founded SQL Server consultancy Wardy IT Solutions, which was bought by ASX listed MOQ Ditial in 2019.

UK MSP Harbor Solutions enters ANZ in partnership with Rubrik

Steven Baker has been named Australia and New Zealand country manager, reporting directly to the company's chief revenue officer. He will oversee operations including sales, marketing, partnerships and customer outcomes as Harbor targets aggressive regional growth.

Solutions Plus acquires Business Central partner BCPrise

The founder of BCPrise, Paul Sargeant, will come across with the acquisition to focus on both Business Central and Wiise sales in Sydney, as well as to ensure consistency of support to the BCPrise customers.

Digital consultancy Escient co-founder and chief executive to retire

Steve Mabbs will retire by the end of June. In place of him, Rebecca Campbell-Burns will take on the chief executive role. Campbell-Burns has been with the company since 2017, with her current role being managing director.

Luminance expands to APAC, opens Sydney office

Clementine Fox has been appointed Australia GM and will lead the Sydney office. She previously held roles including partnership development lead at the Alan Turing Institute and head of account management at Luminance, before stepping into the role of US GM. 

M2M One launches IoT industrial satellite connectivity solution

Byron Thanopoulos has been named director of product management for IoT connected services in the Asia-Pacific region to launch the solution and expand the customer base. Thanoupoulos is a former director at global technology company Asurion.

Noel Toal joins Repurpose It as chief technology and transformation officer

Toal joins after having served as chief information officer of not-for-profit health organisation DPV Health since August of 2019. Prior to this, he was the GM of information systems for fellow not-for-profit community health organisation Access Health and Community.

Novigi acquires Iress’ superannuation consulting and managed services business

As part of the transaction, over 100 specialised superannuation consulting and technology services consultants have joined Novigi, bolstering its total headcount to nearly 400 people.

Rockwell Automation promotes Adrian Giecco to South Pacific regional director

He will take over the role from Anthony Wong, who was recently promoted to vice president – enterprise software sales and consulting services – Asia Pacific. Giecco will relocate to Melbourne to commence the role which covers Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific.

Cyber insurance & training provider Digimune enters Australia

Anthony Cooper has been appointed Digimune regional MD for Australia.  He previously held senior positions with Suncorp, Lumley, Agile Underwriting and PassportCard, where he developed insurance solutions in collaboration with financial institutions, insurance intermediaries, member associations and other channel partners. 

Energy and sustainability software company Simble shakes up board

Simble has appointed Faldi Ismail as non-executive chairman, with existing chairman Steve Thornhill to transition to non-executive director. Ismail is a corporate advisor and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in capital markets, specialising in identifying, structuring, and financing emerging growth companies.  

JFrog appoints Sunny Rao as SVP of APAC sales

Software supply chain solutions company JFrog has named Sunny Rao as senior vice president  of Asia Pacific (APAC) sales. Reporting directly to JFrog’s chief revenue officer Tali Notman and based out of Singapore, Rao will spearhead the company’s growth initiatives across APAC. Most recently, he served as SVP of global sales at Vonage, an Ericsson company.

Fastly appoints Nicola Gerber as VP for APJ

Global cloud platform provider Fastly has named Nicola Gerber as VP for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ). She brings more than 20 years of experience in technology sales, specialising in networking and cloud services. Her career includes leadership roles at Cisco, Amazon Web Services, and high-growth startups across the APJ and EMEA regions.
