Luminance, who provides end-to-end, legal-based AI for the enterprise sector, has opened its first Australian office in Sydney.
It marks the latest move in Luminance’s global expansion following Series C funding, with the company opening offices in San Francisco, Dallas, Toronto, and Madrid Over the past year.
The company has served APAC customers since 2017 - including KWM, Lander & Rogers, EY Australia, JLL Australia, Architectus, Gamuda and HSF Kramer - and has an established regional office in Singapore.
Clementine Fox has been appointed Australia GM and will lead the Sydney office.
She previously held roles including partnership development lead at the Alan Turing Institute and head of account management at Luminance, before stepping into the role of US GM.
Fox said the company has seen such strong and sustained demand from Australian businesses that establishing a permanent presence became a necessity.
“Having an on-the-ground presence means we can move faster to support those eager to deploy our AI and bridge insights between Australia and global markets," she said.
Luminance CEO Eleanor Lightbody said Australian companies have consistently been ahead of the curve as some of Luminance’s earliest adopters.
"Opening our Sydney office is a direct response to that demand, enabling us to better support and scale alongside it," she said.
Developed by AI experts from the University of Cambridge, Luminance’s AI tools use probabilistic consensus to ensure legal-grade accuracy during contract generation, negotiation, and post-execution analysis.
