Scyne Advisory appoints Michelle Perugini as MD

Michelle Perugini is joining Scyne as managing director from September 1.

She joins from Adelaide University, where she has served as director of research translation and chief executive of AU Ventures.

More recently, she helped establish the commercialisation function for Adelaide University, implemented an AI strategy for the organisation’s commercialisation portfolio, and led the establishment of AU Ventures’ corporate structure and board.

A founder of three AI companies since 2007, Dr Perugini will be based in South Australia and will work nationally across government and industry clients, aiming to support organisations to unlock value through AI, innovation and digital transformation while maintaining strong governance and risk management practices.

"Her appointment reflects Scyne’s continued investment in building leading capabilities to help clients navigate increasingly complex technological, operational and strategic challenges resulting in responsible adoption of emerging technologies across government and industry," the company said in a LinkedIn post announcing the appointment.

Earlier this year, Gary Denman joined Scyne as chief AI officer. and in March, David Cullen was appointed MD of the company's cyber practice.
