Gary Denman has joined professional services provider Scyne Advisory in the role of chief AI officer.
He joins after a six-plus stint at Google, where he most recently served as head of partnerships and alliances.
Prior to this, he was VP of ANZ at McAfee, MD for ANZ at Brocade, MD for ANZ at Polycom and enterprise group sales director at Microsoft.
In a post on LinkedIn, Denman said he has been energised by conversations with the Scyne team.
"The importance of Scyne's "Purpose" is clear, and everyone is aligned. As I read "By Australians, for Australia" and "dedicated to serving the public interest, creating more prosperous communities" I get goosebumps and feel grateful for the opportunity to contribute and lead key initiatives," he said,.
"Any new technology brings an immense responsibility to ensure it is used correctly, provides benefit and is accessible to every part of the community. With AI this is amplified even further. This is a key focus for me."
Last month, Scyne appointed David Cullen as MD of the company's cyber practice.
