SoftwareOne has opened a larger Perth CBD office and grown its Western Australian customer base from around 10 organisations to more than 40, as the company flags continued hiring in the state.
The company moved its Perth team from Level 4, 220 St Georges Terrace to Level 8, 5 Mill Street, with a formal opening ceremony to be held on 11 November. The team has grown from two people nine years ago to more than 20 today.
Account management headcount in WA has grown from one to five in the past three years, and SoftwareOne said it expects at least six more people to join the Perth office in the next 12 months. The company said it is also basing senior roles in Perth, including some responsible for managing national teams.
SoftwareOne attributed its WA growth to the strength of the state's resources and mining-aligned economy, and to its ability to support customers both locally and at their overseas operations. The company operates in more than 70 countries with around 12,000 employees globally.
"Plenty of providers have people in Perth, but very few have the global reach and support models available to us," said Ruairi Ellison, sales manager for Western Australia at SoftwareOne.
"WA businesses have responded well to having someone in the room with them here, and the ability to support them at their sites overseas. That local and global model is what has driven our growth."
Last month, Crayon officially integrated into SoftwareOne in the ANZ region.
