Microsoft names new MD for ANZ

Jane Livesey has joined Microsoft as corporate vice president and the next MD for Australia and New Zealand, starting in November of this year. She takes over from Steven Worrall, who has held the position since January 2017 and will begin as CEO of Telstra's backbone network arm, Telstra InfraCo, on Monday September 1.

Until Livesey joins later this year, Steven Miller will continue to serve as interim leader for the Australia and New Zealand business. She currently serves as president of Asia Pacific and Japan at Cognizant, leading the company’s regional growth agenda, with a strong focus on tech innovation, customer success and talent development.

CyberCX grows team by two

Stuart Mort joins as tech and telco industry lead and Angelo Friggieri comes onboard as public sector industry lead; both roles are global appointments that will help support CyberCX’s growing tech, telco and government customer base across the region. 

Rubrik appoints Stefan Compagnoni as head of channel ANZ

He joins Rubrik from Extreme Networks where he spent five years in various channel roles, most recently as head of channel and distribution ANZ.

David Caspari joins Check Point Software Technologies as ANZ MD

Caspari has held senior leadership roles at Cisco Systems, HP Enterprise and Optus, working with enterprises and governments to modernise legacy environments, strengthen critical infrastructure, and deliver digital transformation at scale.

Cohesity appoints James Eagleton as MD for ANZ

Eagleton brings leadership experience in data security, virtualisation, and enterprise digital solutions, to his new role, having led regional sales and channel teams at Adobe, Dell, and Sun Microsystems.

Kyndryl appoints Graeme Beardsell as ANZ MD

Prior to joining Kyndryl, Beardsell served as the APAC CEO of Fujitsu. He has held key leadership positions at Akamai, Experian, Salesforce, and IBM in the Asia Pacific region.

Exclusive Networks appoints Bennett Wong as SVP of APAC

Cohesity names Greg Statton as CTO for APJ

In this newly created role, he will lead technology strategy and innovation initiatives across APJ, supporting Cohesity’s mission to deliver next-generation data protection solutions in the region following the successful integration with Veritas’ enterprise data protection business. Statton will take on the new role, alongside his existing responsibilities of leading innovation and development of Cohesity’s AI solution – Gaia, globally and will report directly to Sunil Moolchandani.   

Statton’s new role extends his 10-year career within Cohesity, having served in a variety of sales engineering leadership and technical innovation roles within the business including VP AI Solutions and Senior Director Data & AI within the office of the CTO.  Prior to Cohesity, Statton spent time working at CITRIX, Nutanix and as Google product development specialist.
