Check Point Software Technologies has appointed David Caspari as MD for Australia and New Zealand.
Caspari will lead Check Point’s business in the region, aiming to expand customer and partner engagement, and advancing the company’s prevention-first, AI-driven security strategy.
Caspari has held senior leadership roles at Cisco Systems, HP Enterprise and Optus, working with enterprises and governments to modernise legacy environments, strengthen critical infrastructure, and deliver digital transformation at scale.
Most recently, he served as CEO of Janison, a SaaS and services provider.
Check Point Software Technologies' president of Asia Pacific and Japan, Ruma Balasubramanian, said Check Point leads change around four core principles: securing the connectivity fabric; embedding prevention-first at the heart of defence; investing in an open platform; and embracing AI-first security.
"David’s experience in delivering trusted customer outcomes, scaling businesses, and organisational transformation makes him ideally placed to help ANZ organisations adopt these principles with confidence," he said.
Caspari said what excites him about joining Check Point is the opportunity ahead.
"With new threat surfaces, AI, regulatory pressure, and rising customer complexity, the need for trusted partners has never been more critical," he said.
"I am inspired by the clear platform strategy, bold mergers and acquisitions, and leadership in AI. The opportunity now is to help lead this next chapter, working with our customers, partners, and teams to turn a trusted leader into a fast-moving growth engine for cyber resilience in ANZ."
