"No cheating": MSP data platform BeeCastle spruiks goal tracking feature

Australian MSP data insights platform vendor BeeCastle is pitching its new goal setting feature a way for MSPs and their coaches to set and track individual sales team members’ performance anfd company-wide performance.

BeeCastle combines data from such sources as ConnectWise and Microsoft 365 to enhance account management and for revenue analytics, whitespace prospecting, sales dashboards and other purposes.

MSP managers and coaches can now set company-wide or individual goals, using the real-time data to track progress.

“Of course everyone wants to be more profitable,” BeeCastle founder David Wood told CRN Australia. “However, when you boil it down, they're all just sort of words and aspirational things, until you make the goal visible, objective, achievable and set it in stone.”

BeeCastle users can assign personal targets to team members, and use the tracking in team meetings and quarterly reviews.

“A classic is the number of phone calls for a sales manager, or number of meetings, then revenue, commission, that sort of stuff,” Wood said.

Beecastle is also pitching its platform as a way to set and track company-wide goals, such as new opportunity value, total revenue growth, meetings with new leads and new customers acquired.

“Coaches like it. Coaches are very good at setting goals because they know what you need to do. Business are typically quite bad at setting goals, because they haven’t done it before,” Wood said.

"A coach might coach 10 MSPs, and for them to go in and say, ‘Listen, I want you to do this, this month, and once you've done that, we can go to the next level.’”

“There's no cheating, or telling me you got there when you didn't get there. We’ll know if you got there or not.”

Wood said Beecastle had experienced “steady growth” following a “very difficult” start to the year for “a lot of people”. We have continued to grow and continued to grow in other parts of the world.”

BeeCastle’s customers include organisations in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Europe and other locations.
