AI automation firm NiCE has rolled out a native integration between its CX AI platform and Epic EHR (electronic healthcare record).
The integration brings records and communications into a single AI-powered interface within Epic.
The company said the integration delivers omnichannel engagement across voice, chat, SMS, WhatsApp and social channels.
With CXone Copilot and AutoSummary, agents receive contextual guidance, streamlined workflows and automated summaries.
The company also talked up the "compliance-ready workflows" of the integration, by way of secure call recording and transcription offerings.
“Our integration with Epic EHR puts AI-driven engagement tools directly into the system that providers use every day,” said Jeff Comstock, president of CX Product & Technology at NiCE
“This ensures agents can focus on meaningful patient conversations, ultimately improving both patient outcomes and staff experience.”
More locally, Epic is involved in both the NSW and WA state government's efforts to implement a Single Digital Patient Record and an Electronic Medical Record program, respectively.
