Ingram Micro Australia sales GM Emma Harris departs

Ingram Micro Australia general manager of sales Emma Harris will leave the distributor next month after 13 years of service.

Chief country executive ANZ Felix Wong confirmed the departure, adding that she is pursuing a role with a vendor in Queensland.

“Emma has been instrumental in leading Ingram’s engagement and growth within the SMB sales channel over the last 13 years, and has built a strong foundation that will allow Ingram to continue its focus within the SMB segment,” said Wong.

“We thank Emma for all her efforts and hard work, and wish her all the best.”

During her time at the distributor, Harris (pictured) was regional sales manager for Queensland, Northern Territory and Papua New Guinea from 2009 to 2010, SME national sales manager from 2010 to 2012 and national marketing manager from 2012 to 2013.

Harris' move follows other high-profile exits in recent weeks.

Former Ingram Micro Australia managing director Matt Sanderson announced his departure in May to take up the chief executive role at the distie's UK and Ireland arm. Ingram Micro Australia general manager of advanced solutions Jon Fox this week joined security vendor Sophos as its Australian channel director.
