Guidewire appoints Zack Levy as APAC professional services director

Guidewire has appointed Zack Levy as senior director of professional services for Asia-Pacific, based in Sydney, as the insurance platform vendor also elevates Carol-Ann Gough into a combined customer success and alliances role across the region.

Levy will lead Guidewire's regional services organisation, with responsibility for helping insurers extract value from their cloud and core platform investments and for shaping complex transformation programmes - including those driven by artificial intelligence.

Levy was most recently head of cloud services at Sapiens, where he led the division through a full operating model redesign, converting a legacy project-based software business into a cloud-native SaaS organisation.

Before Sapiens, he was head of Amazon Web Services cloud and custom applications at Capgemini, where he led cloud modernisation and generative AI engagements across financial services, government and enterprise customers.

He has also held senior roles at Deloitte and Telstra, and served as chief information officer at Reckon, chief executive officer at Strut Digital, and chief commercial officer at BlueFire Corporation.

Gough, who joined Guidewire in 2024 as vice president of customer success and professional services for APAC, has been appointed to the additional title of vice president, alliances, APAC, while retaining her customer success responsibilities.

Guidewire said during the past two years, she had scaled and repositioned the professional services business in the region and overseen a period of cloud migrations across its customer base.

In her expanded role, Gough will focus on outcome-driven customer engagement in collaboration with Guidewire's consulting and technology partner ecosystem.

Levy said he was looking forward to supporting customers with the "systems, governance, and processes" to ensure their AI investments reached their full potential.

In February, Guidewire named Phil Joel as VP of solution advisory for APAC.

Last month, DataMasque was selected as a data masking product for Guidewire Cloud.
