Insurance-focused software company Guidewire has named Phil Joel as VP of solution advisory for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Based in Sydney, he will be responsible for supporting Guidewire’s regional sales and post-sales teams in delivering solutions to assist insurance firms to optimise their underwriting processes and deliver customer success.
Most recently, Joel served as CRO for Alex Solutions, a metadata management platform software organisation. In this capacity, he led the acquisition of numerous clients and scaled the organisation into the North American and European markets.
Previously, he was GM at InfoCentric, a digital and data analytics services company where he established the New South Wales office and led data strategy and data management projects. He also held several positions over a 12-year career at Oakton and was responsible for the company’s go-to-market strategy for business services encompassing strategy, architecture and project delivery services.
He also served as MD and co-founder of mPower, a specialist Oracle services firm.
