xAmplify has acquired Green Cloud Consulting, a specialist in TechnologyOne (TechOne) enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions.

Green Cloud Consulting's services cover project implementation and advice; systems optimisation; in-house training and mentoring; system administration; software testing and UAT assistance; tailored reporting; system reviews; and licence reviews.

Customers of the company include QSuper, City of Newcastle, NIB and The Salvation Army.

xAmplify's CEO, Wayne Gowland, told techpartner.news that the acquisition serves as another step toward building the capabilities, workforce, and partnerships needed to deliver on the company's mission to lead in the adoption of innovative digital services across Australia’s governments and enterprises.

"By bringing Green Cloud Consulting into the fold, alongside our recent acquisition of CTO Group and investment backing from Macquarie [Capital Principal Finance], we’re creating a national platform that can accelerate digital system modernisation at scale," he said.

"Importantly, this is about outcomes - helping governments and enterprises modernise with confidence, while using AI and automation not only to overcome skills shortages and legacy systems, but also to improve operational efficiency, optimise processes, and unlock new business value.

"Together, we can help clients deliver services that are more resilient, efficient, and citizen-focused, ensuring Australia remains competitive in a rapidly changing digital economy."

Realising value from ERP

On how Green Cloud Consulting fits into xAmplify’s long-term strategy, Gowland explained that Green Cloud’s deep expertise in TechnologyOne ERP solutions directly strengthens xAmplify's ability to help government and industry modernise core systems at a time when "the digital skills gap is putting pressure on transformation efforts".

"By bringing their ERP specialisation together with our automation, AI and transformation capabilities, we can ease the strain on scarce digital talent, accelerate system modernisation, and help organisations deliver services that are more resilient, efficient, and citizen/customer focused," he told techpartner.news.

Green Cloud Consulting founder and director, Tim Green said the partnership would strengthen the way organisations realise value from ERP.

“ERP is evolving beyond process efficiency into a driver of genuine transformation," he said.

"The next chapter with xAmplify means we can combine their government client base and transformation expertise with our ERP specialisation to deliver broader capabilities. This collaboration will help clients modernise with confidence and achieve outcomes that extend well beyond the technology itself."

Growing momentum in ERP space

Mark Iles, the chief analyst for APAC channels at Canalys (part of Omdia), said the deal continues the momentum in the Business Applications space that has been growing rapidly over the last few years.

"As companies look to take advantage of new technologies, notably AI, they need to transform their platforms and these projects are complicated and require deep skills and are in high demand," he told techpartner.news.

"This combination is driving strong demand for skills, and in turn, for those looking to capitalise quickly the decision to acquire rather than build out those skills and offerings.”

The company recently outlined this trend in its 'ANZ M+A landscape: Insights and key trends' report in conjunction with techpartner.news.
