Valmar Support Services has replaced six legacy IT systems with a single Workday deployment, unifying human capital management and financial management for the Tumut-based not-for-profit.
The organisation, which provides disability support, aged care and community transport services to approximately 1,000 clients across the ACT and regional NSW, employs more than 600 staff. The consolidation brings staffing, payroll and finance onto one integrated environment.
The deployment was completed in partnership with Workday implementation partner Kainos.
For Valmar, operating in heavily regulated aged care and disability sectors, the move addresses what the organisation described as manual, siloed processes that were impeding growth. The unified platform is intended to free staff from administrative overhead so they can concentrate on service delivery.
"As we continue to grow within a complex and regulated environment, we need a flexible and scalable modern foundation that allows us to operate more efficiently. Ultimately, we want to focus on our core commitment to help clients lead fuller lives and realise their true potential," said Tim Swan, chief executive officer of Valmar.
"Workday has already demonstrated early benefits since our go live earlier this year, particularly by demonstrating how user-friendly the system is to adopt and by eliminating the manual, siloed processes that were slowing us down."
Jo-Anne Ruhl, VP and MD of Workday Australia and New Zealand, said the rollout reflects wider pressures on community services providers.
"As aged care and disability services undergo significant transformation, providers like Valmar need tools that can scale with them and adapt to a rapidly changing environment," Ruhl said.
"Workday helps organisations like Valmar reduce administrative burden so their people can focus on delivering the support services that change and enhance lives."
