In summary

  • Evergreen's Pine Services Group has acquired Melbourne-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central partner Evolution Business Systems.
  • EBS will continue operating independently under its own name, with chief executive Jonathan Martin and the existing leadership team remaining in place.
  • The deal follows Pine's acquisition of Stratus Consulting Group, an Australian ERP consulting and implementation partner, in May.

Evergreen's Pine Services Group has acquired Evolution Business Systems (EBS), a Melbourne-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central partner.

EBS, founded in 2001 and headquartered in Heidelberg, Victoria, specialises in Business Central implementation, optimisation and ongoing managed services, along with a suite of complementary solutions including EBS-Plus, Jet Reports, Continia Document Capture, Continia Expense Management and the Eftsure Marketplace extension.

The company serves SMBs, nonprofits, government agencies, healthcare providers, educational institutions and associations.

Pine Services Group - a long-term global holding company within Evergreen - said the acquisition deepens the Microsoft expertise available across its global portfolio of ERP and technology-enabled services businesses. No financial terms were disclosed.

Under Pine's stated acquisition strategy, EBS will continue to operate independently under the Evolution Business Systems name. Chief executive Jonathan Martin and the existing leadership team will remain in place, with Pine providing additional resources, financial support, strategic expertise and access to an international network of ERP business leaders.

"EBS brings two and a half decades of customer trust, true Microsoft depth, and a leadership team we are proud to work alongside," said Joel Johnson, chief financial officer at Pine Services Group.

"What made them the right fit is how that team has grown the business: strong customer relationships, technical credibility, and clear market-centered values. The consistency of EBS' growth tells you everything about how a business is run. Our job at Pine is to give them the resources to keep executing.”

“Over the past 25 years, we have built EBS on long-term relationships, technical excellence and a genuine commitment to helping our customers succeed. In Pine, we have found a long-term, values-driven partner that respects what makes EBS successful and supports our continued independence," said Martin.

"This gives us access to additional resources, expertise and a broader network, while allowing our team to remain focused on delivering the personalized service and trusted advice our customers value. We are proud of what we have built and excited to begin this next chapter with Pine’s added resources, insights and support.”

In May, Pine acquired Stratus Consulting Group, an Australian ERP consulting and implementation partner supporting mid-market organisations nationwide.
