Smartsheet has promoted Jarrod Kinchington to vice president and general manager of APAC, covering Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and India.
The company has also appointed Takeshi Osawa as president of Japan, with both moves announced alongside what Smartsheet described as accelerating customer adoption across technology, manufacturing and professional services sectors in APAC and Japan.
Kinchington steps up to the APAC role as Smartsheet said it is seeing surging uptake of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server AI capabilities across the region. The vendor opened offices in Sydney in 2020 and Tokyo in 2023, and added Singapore and India locations earlier this year.
He joined the company in February of 2025 as VP of ANZ, after serving as VP and MD of the Pacific Region for Ivanti.
Prior to this, he held the same role of VP and MD of the Pacific Region for Infor, as well as serving a year as MD for ANZ for the company for the duration of 2020.
