NinjaOne has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the international standard for AI management systems, covering its Unified IT Operations Platform including Katana AI, NinjaOne MCP, Browser Management, Vulnerability Management and Patch Intelligence AI.

ISO 42001 sets requirements for how organisations govern AI, including risk and impact assessment, transparency and human oversight.

The certification follows an independent audit of NinjaOne's platform and validates its AI governance model, which the company said is built around a user control system with a detailed audit trail, a global kill switch, and limits on actions, methods and token usage.

"IT teams are managing more devices, tools, and risk, and need AI to help them keep up and get ahead," said Joel Carusone, SVP of data and AI at NinjaOne.

"Our ISO 42001 certification validates the governed approach we take to AI, built into NinjaOne with the controls and visibility IT needs to trust the work it does. When IT trusts AI, IT uses it and gets time back for strategic work."

The certification accompanies a series of recent AI product releases.

NinjaOne's Katana AI is an agentic AI technician designed to support IT workers, while the NinjaOne MCP server provides an agentic orchestration connector extending governed access to third-party AI tools.

The company has also released AI-powered Vulnerability Management, which the company said continuously identifies software vulnerabilities without disruptive scans, enabling patch and remediation in minutes compared to what it described as an industry average of 43 days.

NinjaOne Browser Management, meanwhile, uses AI to assess the risk of browser extensions and can surface unsanctioned AI usage across an organisation.
