The Missing Link has announced former IBM managed security services leader Tim Niblett as its head of security operations.

Niblett's 30-year resume includes leadership roles at NSW Police, AMP and AXA. He has led teams across the Americas and Asia and worked in the UK, France, Spain and Australia.

Niblett held managed security services roles for more than five years at IBM, working in London and Sydney, according to his LinkedIn profile.

He also worked in Paris as the head of AXA’s global security operations centre, in London as head of information security at UK insurance group Direct Line Group, and in Sydney as security operations manager at AMP.

Niblett also spent more than six years as a security operations manager for the NSW Police Force.

The announcement touted Niblett's “ability to blend deep technical expertise with business strategy”.

He will oversee threat intelligence, incident response, and the expansion of managed security services across Australia and the UK, it stated.

“Tim is a highly respected leader with a proven ability to drive innovation and operational excellence,” stated Aaron Bailey, chief information security officer at The Missing Link.

Niblett said he looked forward to working with the team to “enhance our security framework through AI-driven analytics, automation, and advanced cyber defence capabilities.”

In 2024, The Missing Link was Zscaler Growth Partner of the YearRapid7 Partner of the Year for Asia-Pacific and Japan, and Proofpoint Valued Partner of the Year.
