Tech Data expands VMware distribution to include training

Tech Data has expanded its partnership with VMware to offer a suite of technical courses and certifications in Australia.

As an authorised distributor of VMware Education Services, Tech Data will offer technical training courses aimed at skilling customers in order to maximise the value of their existing investment in VMware solutions.

The courses cover technical skills for VMware solutions including data centre virtualisation infrastructure, network virtualisation and security, virtualisation and cloud management platform and desktop, application virtualisation and mobility.

Tech Data said the training courses are also designed to accommodate different styles like private onsite, public classroom and instructor led online remote training.

"Tech Data Technology Solutions is constantly finding new ways to make innovative technology solutions more accessible for our partners, and education plays a critical role in this," said Tech Data vice president, education and supplier management, Asia Pacific Michael Costigan.

"Through this extended partnership with VMware our partners can now not only enhance their own skills and capabilities, but they can also uncover new revenue streams by selling these courses to their end users."

Last week, Tech Data also expanded its distribution partnership with Red Hat to offer its Mobile Application Platform in Australia.
