Synnex Australia scores Intel IoT distribution rights

Intel has appointed Synnex as an Australian distributor for its Internet of Things product portfolio.

The range includes embedded components, IoT gateways and industrial PCs from selected solutions alliance partners.

Intel’s IoT range is also sold through specialist components distributor Braemac, which services customers in gaming, medical instrumentation, retail, mining and agriculture, among others.

Intel channel sales director VR Rajkumar said partnerships such as this would help the vendor meet the growing demand for IoT.

“The power of computing is extending well beyond PCs, tablets and phones to everything we touch and see,” said Rajkumar.

“Everyday objects are becoming smarter and more connected, which is changing the way we live and work. This is especially true in Australia with the IoT market growing significantly in the past year."

Synnex is already a long-term distributor for Intel’s desktop processors.
