Orro has partnered with Megaport to give Orro customers access to on-demand private connectivity and compute across more than 1,100 data centres in 30 countries.
The service will be delivered and managed through Orro.
The capability also extends beyond connectivity where, through the partnership, Orro can provision and manage dedicated compute infrastructure in international locations.
This gives customers a single partner for both network and compute requirements across their global operations.
Daniel Greengarten, Orro’s chief executive, said the traditional model of procuring telco services over months is no longer aligned with the pace of modern business.
“Leaders want to operate globally with the confidence that their infrastructure is secure, efficient, and resilient. Our partnership with Megaport delivers exactly that, providing a single, trusted Australian partner to manage their global network and provision secure connectivity in minutes, not months," he said.
Megaport’s executive VP of global innovation, Michael van Rooyen, said the whole premise of Megaport is that global connectivity shouldn't require months of procurement and a different vendor in every country.
“Through our partnership with Orro, Australian businesses now have access to that capability through a managed services wrapper they already know and trust," he said.
"Orro's depth in security and managed infrastructure, combined with Megaport's global network, means customers can expand internationally with ease. That's exactly the outcome this partnership was designed to deliver."
