Megaport has hired former AAPT analyst and product manager Josh Munro as its new channel and partner manager for Australia.
Munro joins a channel team with star power, after Megaport announced former Australian Olympian Libby Trickett as national channel and partner manager in February. Despite the similarity in job titles, a spokesperson told CRN that Trickett is still working with Megaport.
Munro's most recent role was as product manager for AAPT, including voice products and co-location, according to LinkedIn. Other roles at the telco included pricing implementation and billing activations manager, system analyst and programmer.
A Megaport spokesperson told CRN that Josh "not only brings an incredible amount of passion for the telco industry, but is customer focused and highly technical. His background in product will assist with the on boarding and integration of Megaport partners."
Megaport announced overseas expansion plans this year, including a SG$20 million dark fibre rollout in Singapore.
