A face known to millions of Australians as a triple Olympian swimmer, Libby Trickett, is now talking about "building relationships" in the telecommunications channel.
The gold medallist has appeared on the website of Megaport as their new national channel and partner manager, saying she is "thrilled to be taking up a new challenge in the corporate world.
The blog post states that telecommunications is a new industry to Trickett and that her focus will be "building and maintaining relationships for Megaport and our partners."
Megaport CEO Bevan Slattery cited Trickett's time in the Australian swimming team and said her commitment to team and friendly and engaging nature is something " every employer wants in a team member."
Slattery said Trickett will be working to rollout Megaport's Australian channel program. The company made headlines recently announcing a SG$20 million dark fibre network in Singapore and Asia Pacific expansion plans.
