KPMG Australia said it has launched a dedicated Microsoft Dynamics 365 technology implementation practice in Western Australia, headquartered at the management consultant's Perth office.

The practice will be led by principal director Rudi van Nieuwenhuizen and initially staffed by six Microsoft consulting practitioners.

They will deliver a range of technology services centred around Microsoft’s applications, with the team expected to double in size over the next 12 months.

KPMG Australia's new practice will focus on helping Western Australia-based organisations harness the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a suite of intelligent business applications offers businesses predictive, AI-driven insights and tools to drive better results.

"With many Western Australia businesses undergoing digital transformation, we are seeing the increased adoption of technology solutions and a growing demand for implementation and integration services," Mark Bowden, partner at KPMG Australia, said.

"The State’s economic fundamentals remain excellent with higher growth and lower unemployment than the rest of the country."

"Underpinning much of our clients’ strategies is the deployment of technology" said Bowden.

"Microsoft is a key technology partner for many Australian organisations, and the Microsoft Dynamics platform is a major enabler for our clients and businesses to leverage the latest technologies, including artificial intelligence, to drive better business outcomes," said Hilda Carmichael, partner-in-charge of technology implementation at KPGM Australia said.

She added that the strong demand for Microsoft expertise is expected to grow further in Western Australia, making the launch of the Perth-based practice timely.

KPMG’s said its existing Microsoft teams in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane already consist of over 200 certified practitioners.

These teams specialise in a range of Microsoft products, including Azure, Dynamics 365, Analytics, and Power Platforms.

The Perth practice will be closely aligned with these teams, ensuring the delivery of seamless Microsoft technology solutions across Australia.

Since KPMG Australia acquired Hands-on Systems in 2015, its Microsoft business has seen consistent year-on-year growth.

KPMG Australia was recently recognised in the Microsoft Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Partner Awards, winning in the business transformation category.
