MSP First Focus has acquired Red IT, a Melbourne-based IT services business led by Matthew Purvis.

This marks First Focus’s fourteenth acquisition over the company's history as part of its ongoing growth strategy to expand nationally and strengthen its presence across Australia and New Zealand.

Earlier this year, the company bought Adelaide's Tie Networks; 2024 saw the company purchase both Melbourne's Section Group and Adelaide-based firm Enee; and the year prior, First Focus acquired Melbourne-based MSP Rock IT.

As part of the acquisition, Purvis will remain actively involved in the business, stepping into an ambassador role within First Focus to strengthen client and partner relationships and support future growth and acquisition opportunities.

"Red IT appealed to us for the same reasons that have underpinned all of our acquisitions – great clients and great staff," said Ross Sardi, CEO of First Focus.

"They’ve shown impressive growth in recent years, and their culture of excellence and client focus make them a perfect fit for the First Focus team."

"I’m incredibly proud of what the Red IT team has achieved, and I’m excited to see that legacy continue under the First Focus brand," said Purvis.

"Joining a national leader that shares our customer-first approach ensures our clients will continue to receive outstanding service, supported by the broader resources and expertise that First Focus offers."

Founded in 2003, First Focus delivers IT support, cybersecurity, AI, SharePoint, and cloud solutions to mid-market organisations across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond and has over 320 staff and offices in every major Australiancapital city.
