Distribution Central has become the first ANZ distributor to secure NetApp’s Star Distributor status.
The Star status is the highest level of recognition in NetApp’s distribution channel. It’s awarded to disties that are able to meet a number of requirements for delivering NetApp certification training.
“It’s no secret among the ANZ reseller community that DC’s skills and service ethic, delivered through the Fusion Systems business unit, are world class,” said Distribution Central managing director Nick Verykios.
“However, our investment in systems that exist nowhere else but Australia and New Zealand are what keeps our partners competitive against other resellers offering alternative technologies, with increased accuracy, minimum time to quote, minimum time to respond and minimum cost in configurations.
Only six distributors across the APAC region have been given NetApp’s Star status.
According to a statement by Distribution Central, it achieved this status by appointing six technical staff to the required range of technical/pre-sales qualifications and four engineers to deliver NetApp Accredited Sales Professional and NetApp Accredited Technical Sales Professional training.
NetApp appointed Distribution Central as its only Australian distie in 2007, delivering regular NetApp certification training.
In October last year, NetApp appointed its second Australian distie, Westcon, after reviewing its ANZ distribution strategy to do more business in the channel.
