In summary

  • Macquarie Telecom has expanded its partnership with Netskope to add SD-WAN capabilities to its existing SSE integration, creating a fully unified, single-vendor SASE solution.
  • The solution runs on Netskope's NewEdge infrastructure, which comprises more than 120 full-compute data centres worldwide, including seven in Australia, to deliver consistent, low-latency security.
  • It also incorporates Netskope's AI security tools, including Skylight AI Security, AI Fast Path, AI Command Centre, AgentSkope and Agent Action Control, to let organisations set granular AI security policies.

Macquarie Telecom has expanded its strategic partnership with Netskope to deliver a fully unified, single-vendor Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) solution to Australian mid-market and enterprise organisations, adding Netskope's SD-WAN capabilities to an existing Security Service Edge (SSE) integration.

The partnership originally launched in 2025 with the integration of Netskope's SSE platform into Macquarie Telecom's managed SASE offering. The extension brings SD-WAN into the same framework, giving customers a complete SASE architecture - covering networks, data, users, and cloud and AI usage - managed through a single pane of glass.

The solution is underpinned by Netskope's NewEdge infrastructure, which the company said comprises more than 120 full-compute data centres worldwide, including seven in Australia.

The local presence is intended to deliver consistent, low-latency security regardless of where users are located - a factor the partners said is increasingly relevant as Australian organisations navigate regulatory requirements such as the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act and the Essential Eight framework.

The solution also incorporates a range of Netskope's AI security capabilities, including its Skylight AI Security suite, AI Fast Path, AI Command Centre, AgentSkope and Agent Action Control. Macquarie Telecom said these tools allow organisations to set granular AI security policies and traffic paths while supporting broader AI adoption across their operations.

“Our partnership with Netskope has validated our conviction that Australian organisations want and deserve enterprise-grade, unified security without the complexity. We’re now able to offer our customers one platform, one portal, and the confidence that their security policies follow them wherever they work,” said Marija Harris, group executive at Macquarie Telecom.

“With Netskope’s industry-leading security and networking capabilities combined with Macquarie Telecom’s own long-standing expertise in SD-WAN deployment, government-grade security, and highly regarded customer service, we are uniquely positioned to help Australian organisations keep operations simple and manageable as they strengthen their cyber defences to adopt cloud and AI.”

“IT, I&O and security teams are navigating complex and often conflicting dynamics, such as the balance between aggressive AI adoption and security, that make IT management and decision-making difficult," said Andrew Heywood, channel director APAC at Netskope.

“Through this extended partnership we aim to help Australian organisations reconcile security and networking priorities, simplify their management, and keep associated tools robust and relevant in the future. Our positive results to date is a sign that our proposition is resonating with the market, and we look forward to helping more organisations navigate the security and network challenges of the AI era with the Macquarie Telecom team.”
