ASX-listed start-up CCP Technologies has signed a distribution deal with Dicker Data to sell its IoT-enabled monitoring products to the distie's network of 5000 resellers.
CCP's products are marketed for food safety, and use sensors to record temperature and log data in controlled refrigeration environments to provide real-time alerts on any potential issues. Each monitoring point costs $15 per month.
The company closed a $500,000 round of investment earlier this year with the help of Vocus founder James Spenceley and Amcom founder Tony Grist, which both now work in the finance space. Last month, Vodafone selected CCP as one of two companies to trial its narrowband IoT network.
CCP chief executive Michael White said he was delighted to partner with Dicker Data for the company's channel push.
"Dicker Data's reach in Australia will significantly increase our opportunity to expand in 2018," he added. "Given the millions of monitoring points across the customers base of Dicker Data's reseller network, even a small penetration by CCP will have a dramatic impact on our revenue base."
Dicker Data also announced a partnership with Buddy, another Australian IoT vendor. The company's primary product, Buddy Ohm, is a resource monitoring device that tracks utility consumption like electricity and water and provides insights in residential and commercial buildings, as well as corporate and school campuses.
"We are working quickly to meet the demand for Buddy Ohm and are thrilled to be expanding the Australian market in partnership with Dicker Data," said Buddy chief executive David McLauchlan. "We estimate that there are tens of thousands of building in Australia that could benefit from the Buddy Ohm service, including office complexes, multi-tenant housing, schools and universities and quick service restaurants."
Earlier this year, Dicker Data launched its "IoT community" initiative to foster connections between partners and IoT vendors, as well as plans to support more IoT opportunities for resellers

CCP adds to a growing list of new vendors for Dicker Data this year, which also includes enterprise storage deals with Dell EMC, Pure Storage and Hitachi Data Systems, and new partnerships with Venom Computers, Blue Coat, and BenQ.
