Dicker Data launches capability to simplify delivery of AI, HPC and data centre infrastructure

Dicker Data has launched Dicker Data Advanced Logistics Services, a new capability designed to simplify the delivery of complex AI, high-performance computing and data centre infrastructure.

Dicker Data Advanced Logistics Services provides partners with a standalone, vendor-agnostic service to receive, validate, securely store, consolidate and prepare project equipment before it is delivered to the deployment site, irrespective of whether the underlying technology has been purchased from Dicker Data.

The service includes bill of materials validation, ensuring individual items and configuration lines received are consistent with project requirements, with any discrepancies or visible damage identified, documented and categorically logged before deployment.

Photographic evidence can also be provided, giving project teams greater visibility of equipment condition and project status before it reaches the data centre or final deployment location.

Once received, equipment can be securely stored while the balance of the project arrives, helping partners and their customers consolidate multiple shipments into a coordinated delivery. Optional staging services are also available, including asset tagging, labelling, project-specific preparation and dead-on-arrival testing.

When the project is ready and all required inventory has been received, Dicker Data can coordinate delivery to the nominated data centre in line with booking requirements, access controls, delivery windows, security procedures and site protocols. Partners can also arrange final transport, with Dicker Data consolidating and preparing the equipment for collection.

The service also supports more coordinated site delivery by reducing the partial shipments and loading-dock movements associated with large infrastructure projects. Each project is supported by a dedicated contact who provides visibility across incoming stock, inventory status, discrepancies, staging requirements and dispatch or collection.

Vlad Mitnovetski, executive director and COO at Dicker Data, said the service extends the distributor’s role beyond supply to help partners manage a critical stage of increasingly complex infrastructure deployments.

“AI infrastructure projects are bringing together more equipment, more vendors and tighter deployment requirements. For partners and their customers, the challenge is not only sourcing the technology. It is ensuring every component is accounted for, prepared and delivered in a way that supports a smooth deployment,” Mitnovetski said.

By managing receipt, validation, secure storage, consolidation and staging, we can reduce operational complexity and allow technical teams to remain focused on implementation and customer outcomes.”

Mitnovetski said the launch forms part of Dicker Data’s broader investment in the technologies, expertise and services partners need to take AI infrastructure opportunities from design through to deployment.
