BenQ has selected Dicker Data as it latest distributor for its range of LCD monitors in Australia.
Managing director Martin Moelle said the Taiwan-based vendor had entered the professional market with its new range of vertical products.
"These products require key specialised channels and in-depth product management to market and sell," Moelle said.
"In particular our range of colour management products is seeing growth and can be enhanced through our partnership with Dicker Data. Partnering with Dicker Data will allow us to deepen our channel access and will also complement their channel activities."
BenQ's other Australian distributors include Synnex, Ingram Micro, Alloys and Multimedia Technology.
So far this year, Dicker Data has signed on a handful of new vendors including remote access and collaboration software vendor TeamViewer, security vendor Trend Micro and storage vendor Seagate.
Dicker Data chief executive David Dicker said: “We’re pleased to be partnering with BenQ to bring their LCD Monitor product range to our reseller partners. We see a strong opportunity to take the BenQ products into vertical markets such as medical and creative professionals.”
BenQ was spun out from Acer in 2001 as a separate business. Its product line-up also includes projectors, speakers and digital signage solutions.
