Remote access and collaboration software vendor TeamViewer picks Dicker Data as its first Australian distributor

Remote access and collaboration software vendor TeamViewer has appointed Dicker Data as its first distribution partner for Australia.

The union comes as part of a recent global push by TeamViewer to grow through its partner business. TeamViewer's software is available as a free download for the consumer version, and as a monthly subscription for business users. The company has 200 million users worldwide, and 350,000 paying customers.

TeamViewer launched its partner program in Asia-Pacific when head of channel Stephen Pech joined in June 2016. The vendor now has 160 partners in the region.

Pech said about 10 percent of sales were done via partners, but that he hoped to increase that number to 40 percent by 2018.

He said signing TeamViewer's first Australian distributor was an important step in connecting with the local channel "and an unprecedented opportunity to grow our business further in partnership with Dicker and through their extensive partner base".

Dicker Data chief executive David Dicker said: "They are globally recognised as a leader in the remote support, remote access and online meeting solutions market and we’re looking forward to working with the thousands of partners in Australia who are already using TeamViewer in addition to introducing the range to our extensive partner base."
