Dicker Data beefs up its data storage capability with Seagate

Dicker Data has been appointed as a distributor of Seagate Technology for the Australian market.

Dicker Data’s partnership with the data storage company took effect at the start of February.

Chief executive David Dicker said that as the number of devices sold and the data generated by those devices continues to grow, so does the requirement for storage across all levels of industry.

“Our partnership with Seagate will also enable us to provide a new alternative to our reseller partners who are purchasing a variety of storage solutions,” he said.

Seagate’s country manager for Australia, Charlie Harb, said the partnership would allow Seagate to help more enterprises and creative professionals manage their data.

“We believe that adding Dicker Data will further expand the outreach to the growing user segments who demand and can benefit from the latest high-capacity drives and best-in-class storage solutions,” he said.

Dicker Data has recently signed partnerships with security vendor Trend Micro as well as remote access and collaboration software vendor TeamViewer.

Seagate is incorporated in Ireland and has its operational headquarters in the US.
