Rohan Cook has been named HPE’s new channel lead for the South Pacific following the retirement of Julie Barbieri after nearly six years in the role.

Cook moves into the role following two and a half years as ExaGrid’s vice president of Asia Pacific.

He will oversee the company's partner engagement and channel growth throughout Australia and New Zealand and has previously held sales, marketing, and advisory positions at Symend, Verizon, EMC, Cisco, and IBM.

Cook said he is “honoured” to lead HPE’s South Pacific operations.

“I look forward to working closely with our partners to accelerate growth and deliver innovative solutions for businesses across Australia and New Zealand," he said.

In a LinkedIn post about the appointment, Cook added: “The channel isn't just a go-to-market strategy—it's where innovation meets execution, where partnerships become powerhouses, and where we transform how enterprises navigate their digital futures.”

HPE South Pacific vice president and managing director Chris Weber said Cook’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to the region’s partner ecosystem.

"His deep channel expertise, global perspective and proven ability to drive growth in complex markets make him ideally placed to lead our partners through the next phase of innovation and opportunity across Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
