Microsoft solutions provider Avanade has named Rodrigo Caserta will as its new chief executive, effective September 1, 2024.
Caserta is succeeding Pamela Maynard, who is stepping down to join Microsoft as chief AI transformation officer for Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS).
Maynard will be moving to Microsoft after 16 years at Avanade, including five as chief executive.
In her new role, she will spearhead AI transformation for MCAPS.
This is MCAPS' first chief AI transformation officer appointment, and Maynard will leverage Microsoft's AI portfolio to drive the internal transformation and work directly with customers to accelerate theirs, Judson Althoff, Microsoft's chief commercial officer said.
A native of Brazil, Caserta is Avanade's global technology business group lead currently.
He brings nearly a decade of experience with the company to the role as a chief executive.
His tenure includes successful leadership roles as general manager of Brazil and president of growth markets, where he drove growth in revenue and headcount across Asia Pacific and Latin America regions.
