The new deal will see Altech offering a variety of Foxconn's motherboards aimed at consumers and system integrators, said Antony Sheen, Altech's managing director.
Sheen told CRN that over the coming months Altech will also offer a selection of Foxconn gaming motherboards designed for overclocking, several graphics cards and computer chassis.
“[Foxconn's] going to focus a lot on the service, so we’ll keep buffer stock and provide fast RMA’s. They will also provide very good pricing that will be competitive to all other brands on the market," he said.
Sheen claimed the Australian distributor will be looking to move into volume distribution of the motherboards, "many of which are priced to appeal to PC builders and system integrators," he said.
The deal is the latest in a number of moves by Altech to expand its offering of motherboards, cooling products and storage devices.
