D-Link ANZ has launched four new industrial switches designed for extreme operating conditions, giving systems integrators and IT managers hardened networking options for factory floors, outdoor surveillance, transport networks and remote utility sites across Australia and New Zealand.
The expanded Industrial Switch Range spans from a flagship Layer 3 managed switch down to a sub-$150 unmanaged edge device, covering what D-Link describes as the full spectrum of industrial networking requirements.
All four models share a common set of ruggedised specifications: IP40-rated metal housings, fan-less thermal designs, 6kV surge protection across all Ethernet ports, and an operating temperature range of –40°C to +75°C.
The flagship DIS-310G-24X is a 24-port Layer 3 managed switch aimed at large-scale industrial and government deployments. It carries 16 Gigabit copper ports, four Gigabit SFP fibre uplinks and four 10G SFP+ ports for backbone or aggregation connectivity.
D-Link said the 10G uplinks are intended to eliminate bandwidth bottlenecks when aggregating high-definition camera streams or sensor arrays, while Layer 3 routing enables secure segmentation of operational-technology and information-technology traffic. It supports ERPS ring topology for sub-50ms failover redundancy.
The DIS-210G-12 is a 12-port smart-managed switch with eight Gigabit copper ports and four SFP fibre uplinks. It is positioned at city surveillance, warehouse automation and distributed building-management deployments where integrators need remote visibility without requiring command-line expertise.
The DIS-210G-12UP adds high-power PoE to that smart-managed foundation, with six PoE+ ports at 30W each and two PoE++ ports at up to 60W per port. D-Link said the model is suited to PTZ cameras, access control, IP intercoms and IoT gateways where power and data must be delivered over a single cable, removing the need for separate power injectors at each device location.
The DIS-100E-05 is a five-port unmanaged Fast Ethernet switch with DIN-rail mounting, dual DC input for redundant power, and Energy-Efficient Ethernet support. D-Link is positioning it as a low-cost entry point for agricultural sensor networks, remote telemetry cabinets and small-scale automation projects.
All four models are available now in Australia and New Zealand through the company's website and authorised D-Link business resellers, including IT distributors and systems-integration partners.
