IP communications vendor Mocet has enlisted VExpress as its second distributor to expand its presence in Australia.
Mocet is owned by Taiwanese company Tecom, which sells VoIP and enterprise communications solutions to small and medium enterprise.
VExpress will sell Mocet's flagship IG 7600 smartphone business communications service, a standalone VoIP server handling up to 16 concurrent calls. The Sydney-based distie expects to bring on between 20 and 30 resellers for Mocet's expansion in the local market.
Mocet is also sold in Australia through specialty distributor Voicecom, which introduced the vendor to the Australian channel in 2014.
Mocet marketing and sales director Anna Shatun said VExpress was chosen for its geographical location and size.
''We already have some legacy business in Australia, but this new distribution deal will provide real-time account management, support and 'feet on the ground' to help grow this legacy base and bring on new partners at a faster rate than remote organic growth,” said Shatun.
In July, VExpress was commissioned to distribute email security vendor Mailprotector in the Australian market. It also distributes a number of other communications vendors, including Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise and NetConnect.
