SAP consultancy Rizing has had its contract with Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) for an asset management solution increase from $31,485,982 to $40,192,950, due to an extension of a phase of the project.
Asked why the contract had increased in value, a TfNSW spokesperson said: "the increase in contract value relates to an extension of the explore phase of the project and an expansion of communication and engagement across Transport to ensure best value and outcomes for end users of the system."
In April 2024, Rizing was awarded the contract as system integrator to deliver the outcomes of the Road Asset Information Strategy Implementation (RAISI), a strategic initiative aimed at overhauling the management of road assets across the state that started in 2022.
"The scope included design, implementation and deployment of a new, single asset management solution for our road assets such as roads, bridges and tunnels," the TfNSW spokesperson said.
"This solution will improve efficiencies, access to asset information, and deliver a better user experience while informing strategic decision making across the lifetime of assets."
Rizing's contract involves integrating with Transport’s existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
