Steven Kiernan elevated to SVP of channels at Omdia
He has been with the company since 2019, when he joined Canalys (before it was acquired by Omdia) as senior director of worldwide business development. Since then, he has served as VP of worldwide sales for Canalys, and since the integration into Omdia, VP of EMEA for sales.
NB: Kiernan previously worked at techpartner.news' publisher Nextmedia between 2013 to 2019 and before that, at Haymarket Media Group between 2009 to 2013, which Nextmedia acquired.
Atturra CFO Herb To to retire
To will retire preferably before the end of CY 2026, supporting a transition by remaining Atturra’s CFO while a successor is identified and appointed. Atturra has commenced a formal search process and has engaged Blenheim Partners to assist identifying a replacement. To will support the search process and work closely with the Board and executive team.
Smart Communications appoints new chairman of the board
Smart Communications, a provider of cloud-based enterprise customer communications and engagement technology, has named David Hamilton as chairman of the board. Smart Communications is backed by international private equity firm Cinven, which is supporting the company’s next phase of growth, innovation, and global expansion.
Hamilton has held senior executive roles at leading global software companies including Fiserv, Sungard, and Solifi, where he led international growth and large-scale transformation initiatives across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and North America. As CEO of Solifi, he repositioned the company as a leader in secured finance, delivering sustained expansion through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
His experience spans retail and commercial banking, wealth and private banking, insurance, and digital financial infrastructure. He currently serves as chairman, non-executive director, and strategic advisor to several global financial technology companies, including Azentio Software, Solifi, and VeriPark, partnering with private equity investors and executive teams to accelerate growth and strengthen governance. Over the course of his career, he has supported multiple successful private equity-backed exits, including Thoma Bravo and TA Associates.
