Ahuja previously served as a sales and GTM executive across APAC markets at Imperva, Before that, he worked in regional leadership positions at VMWare, HPE and Microsoft
CrowdStrike appoints head of distribution for ANZ
Rhys George has joined cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike in the role of head of distribution for Australia and New Zealand. George was previously at NetApp for over seven years, most recently as head of distribution, strategic channels and cloud partners for the ANZ region.
Rapid7's David Quist promoted to director of channel sales APJ
Cybersecurity managed detection and response vendor Rapid7 has promoted David Quist to director of channel sales APJ. Quist has more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian and New Zealand technology sector and has been with Rapid7 for six years. Prior to his promotion, he spent more than three years in the role of senior manager, southern region sales, ANZ.
Shark Tank's Robert Herjavec joins Zetaris
Melbourne-based analytical data virtualisation firm Zetaris has named Robert Herjavec executive director of global strategy. He has built and exited several companies in the cyber security space, including most recently Herjavec Group, which was sold to Apax Partners in 2021 and renamed as Cyderes,. Zetaris' partners include NVIDIA, Cisco, Hitachi, Equinix and IBM Cloud.
Intel's George Chacko now looking after Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand
Intel's George Chacko has been appointed as GM of the company's sales, marketing and communications group for Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, based in Singapore. Since joining Intel in 2006, George has spent his time between India and SEANZ markets, in scopes spanning sales, product marketing and pricing, global accounts management, and new product innovations.
Scott Farquhar becomes Tech Council of Australia chair
The Tech Council of Australia (TCA) has announced that Scott Farquhar, a co-founder and noard director of Atlassian, will succeed Robyn Denholm as chair. Denholm, who has led the TCA since its inception in 2021, will step down but remain on the board. Farquhar was a founding member of the TCA and the transition will take effect in late March.
