Synnex Australia partners with graphics card vendor Galax

Synnex Australia has been appointed a distributor for OEM-branded graphics card designer and manufacturer Galax.

The distributor will offer Galax's range of graphics cards to its partners, which includes the Hall of Fames series, EXOC and GeForce.

Synnex product management and marketing director Darren Tan said the addition of Galax strengthens the distributor's existing gaming portfolio in Australia, which also includes Corsair, Razer and BenQ.

"This alignment offers complementary components to our system builders and will expand reach for the DIY market,” he said.

Synnex product director Yu Chen Liao said the rise of eSports has opened up more opportunities for PC gaming to a wider audience. "The graphics card market, as one of the key components of gaming PCs, has continued to show strong growth. With Galax’s appointment, Synnex will be able to expand its gaming line-up to its resellers.”

Galax sales VP Jack Lee added: “We are delighted to announce the partnership with Synnex Australia, the new appointment allows Galax to provide a better gaming experience and choice in Australia whenever they decide to buy an ultimate, unique GeForce graphics card."

Earlier this month, Synnex was handed the full print portfolio of Fuji Xerox. Other vendor wins for Synnex this year include Avast, Acronis, ATEN and Vertiv.
