Synnex has partnered with hybrid-cloud data protection specialist Acronis as it moves to tap into the growth market.
The distie will now offer the full range of Acronis data protection and disaster recovery products for virtual, physical, local, cloud and mobile environments.
Synnex is aiming to help local service providers capitalise on the increasing demand for cloud backup and recovery software.
The two companies will work together to develop cloud backup and data protection solutions for the accounting and healthcare sectors, with other sectors to follow.
Chief executive Kee Ong said Synnex was pleased to work with Acronis to deliver data protection technology to Australian partners and customers.
“Acronis’ approach to data protection, protecting all data in all environments through a unified solution, makes Acronis an ideal vendor to help extend our holistic security solutions to new and existing partners in the region,” he said.
Acronis ANZ general manager Tony Drewitt said Synnex had the expertise and customer service skill that Acronis wanted in a local partner.
“The expansion in our distribution footprint will drive growth in new and existing areas for us, which is at the core of the ANZ Acronis strategy,” he said.
