Cloud commerce marketplace Pax8 has strengthened its cybersecurity offerings through new partnerships with Commvault and ConnectWise, bringing enhanced data protection capabilities to its managed service provider network.
The company announced that Commvault had joined the Pax8 Marketplace, with the unified Commvault Cloud platform that combines cloud-based data security with enterprise-scale recovery capabilities.
"The addition of Commvault underscores our continued commitment to bring enterprise-level solutions to our managed service providers to deliver to their small to midsized business customers," Ryan Burton, vice president of marketplace vendor strategy at Pax8 said.
The platform offers small and medium-sized businesses control over data storage location, allowing them to select Microsoft Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure regions that ensure data residency compliance.
"MSPs are a critical component of Commvault's channel-first strategy and a key pillar for our future business," Alan Atkinson, chief partner officer at Commvault said.
Separately, Pax8 revealed another strategic partnership with ConnectWise to offer its Managed Detection and Response solution through the marketplace platform.
The collaboration aims to address growing cybersecurity challenges by providing round-the-clock monitoring and threat detection services powered by artificial intelligence and human expertise.
"This strategic partnership perfectly aligns with our mission to simplify the cloud buying journey for MSPs," Nick Heddy, Pax8 president said.
ConnectWise's recent acquisitions of data protection companies Axcient and SkyKick are already available through the Pax8 Marketplace.
"By integrating ConnectWise MDR into an MSPs service offerings, partners can take proactive steps to safeguard valuable data and assets from ever-evolving cyber threats," Ameer Karim, executive vice president and general manager of cybersecurity and data protection at ConnectWise said.
The companies plan to reveal additional details about their partnership at the IT Nation Connect event in November 2024.
