Melbourne managed IT services provider LAB3 has signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft, aimed at expanding the adoption of the tech giant's generative artificial intelligence capabilities in the broader Australia-New Zealand and Asian markets.
This includes establishing an AI Centre of Excellence, for pioneering solutions and ensuring the responsible use of the technology, LAB3 said.
The CoE will help organise use GenAI in a more advanced way to solve complex business problems, LAB3 founder and chief executive Chris Cook said.
Cook said the establishment of the AI CoE symbolises LAB3's commitment to AI and innovation, in combination with Microsoft platforms.
"We're venturing to launch an integrated AI capability that combines professional and managed services to provide a longstanding value proposition for our clients, which fosters recurring revenue," Cook said.
Microsoft's chief partner officer for ANZ, Vanessa Sorenson said LAB3 shares the goal to deliver practical, impactful solutions for customers, aligning AI techologies with real business needs.
LAB3 was a finalist in the Business Transformation category in the 2021 CRN Impact Awards.
That same year, the company expanded into Sydney, and Auckland.
