Jamie Simon has been promoted to director of partners for Asia Pacific and Japan at AWS.
He will be responsible for leading the AWS Partner business across the region, handling partner development and sales.
Chris Casey, formerly the director of AWS partnerships for Asia Pacific and Japan, was elevated to MD of ANZ for AWS earlier this month.
Simon first joined the business in 2020 as head of the service line business for ANZ, before moving onto such roles as head of software segment for Australia and head of digital native and software for ANZ.
Since 2023, he has served as the company's director of banking and financial services for ANZ.
Prior to AWS, Simon was at SEEK for five years, his final role there being head of enterprise, government, SEEK Business and display, as well as at IBM for a decade.
In a LinkedIn post, Simon said the scale of customer demand for cloud and AI transformation far exceeds what any single company can deliver alone.
"Every organisation across APJ is asking: How fast can we move, and who can help us get there? The answer is AWS and our partners," he said.
"To the APJ Partner team and all of our wonderful partners across APJ, I can't wait to get started building the future with you all."
